Privacy policy
Plain language, no fine print.
Short version. The app has no telemetry, no accounts and no ads. Nothing leaves your phone except an optional check for new releases.
The app
- No telemetry or analytics. The app contains no tracking or crash-reporting libraries.
- No accounts. You never sign in.
- Your settings stay on the phone. Mode, SIM choice, theme and similar preferences are stored locally. You can export and import a backup file yourself.
- Optional update check. When enabled, the app asks the GitHub Releases API for the latest version. GitHub can see your IP address, as with any web request. Turn this off in Settings and the app makes no network requests of its own.
- Signal readings stay on screen. Signal strength, band and SIM details are read from Android to show on your dashboard. They are not sent anywhere.
Permissions, and why

Shizuku and root access are separate permissions you grant through the Shizuku app or your superuser manager. Switcher 5G uses them only to change your preferred network type.
Android backup
The app allows Android’s own backup. If you have Google backup or a similar service on, your phone may include Switcher 5G’s settings. That is controlled by your phone, not by this project.
This website
- No cookies, no analytics and no ad scripts.
- Your theme, palette and AMOLED choice are saved in your browser’s local storage so the site remembers them. Clear site data to remove them.
- The download card calls the GitHub Releases API from your browser to show the latest version.
- Fonts and images load from this site. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP address and requested page, for security and operations.

Links to GitHub, Telegram and the Shizuku site lead to services with their own privacy policies.
Changes and contact
